Now Toronto is an online publication with a long history in Toronto. I developed a custom WordPress theme in collaboration with a local design studio.

Now Toronto’s home page uses native WordPress blocks, custom WordPress blocks, and block patterns.
It was designed and developed to automatically feature the latest and most popular articles.
Home page highlights:
- sticky sidebar content
- Relevant ads and calls to action become stuck to the top of your screen as you scroll the Now Toronto website on desktop.
- Dynamic trending articles
- The What’s Trending section automatically displays the five most viewed articles in the past week.
- customizable Top Story
- The Top Story section features the latest article by default. The editors at Now Toronto can edit this to display any article at any time.
The single post template includes several features to encourage browsing the website. Four more articles appear automatically once you’ve finished an article. Next, all recently posted articles are available in a grid.
